THE Upper South Coast Art Association (USCAA) concluded a successful year, securing 150 paintings and almost 250 unique hand-painted cards sold in the pop-up gallery, Art on Kingsway at the Oasis Centre in Kingsway.

“The pop-up gallery was started on January 16, last year and we are overwhelmed with the support we have had from the public. We would like to thank everyone that supported us through 2017 and are looking forward to meeting more art lovers in the new year,” former chairperson, Patricia McCann said.

The 150th painting was sold to seven-year-old Aimee Richter, who has been a supporter of the gallery from the word go’.

“Aimee is a lovely pupil, who does home-schooling and has an interest in art.

“She attended lessons with Zelda Coetzee and me, when the gallery first opened and did a wonderful painting of Cosmos flowers,” McCann said. Aimee bought the painting named ‘Seagulls’ by artist Francis Reynolds.
