Art competition cancelled

2016-03-16 06:00

KINGSBURGH Child Family Welfare Society regret there will be no art competition in 2016. The society has been unable to secure a suitable venue in a shopping centre to display 1 000 paintings.

“We sincerely regret that this popular income-generating project has to be withdrawn from welfare’s calendar,” said chairperson, Jenny Smith.

“For the past 25 years we have been generated interest and family enjoyment, seeing children’s art on display in a public place.
“ It was never about winning prizes, rather about awareness of child welfare and the knowledge that your donation from your art work does so much in our community,” Smith said.

For inquiries, contact Smith at work 031 916 2274 or home 073 802 4712.
