AT 6pm on Wednesday, 18 November, Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a bakkie that had overturned on the N2 north between Winklespruit and Doonside off- ramps. Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle veered off the road, hit an embankment and rolled for about 50 metres.

“Netcare 911 paramedics and the fire department found the driver had been ejected from the vehicle, and was lying in the grass about 100 metres from the crumpled remains of the bakkie,” said Netcare 911 PRO Chris Botha.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene and after immobilising him on a trauma board, transported him to hospital. - Supplied.
