Bakkie overturns, one dead, four injured

ON Sunday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a bakkie that overturned on the N2 near Scottburgh.

“Paramedics found that a bakkie had overturned on the south-bound lane.
“After they examined the injured it was found that one person had died, two sustained serious injuries while two escaped with minor injuries,” said Chris Botha, media liaison officer - Netcare 911.

Medics stabilised the injured before they transported them to various hospitals.

Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain a subject for the police to investigate.
