THE Bikers Against Drugs (BAD) campaign; a joint anti-drug awareness campaign conducted by MAC’s motorcycle club, Amanzimtoti SAPS, and Councillor Andre Beetge; kicked off in mid-November and organisers are asking for assistance from the public and fellow bikers.

The aim of this campaign is to raise awareness about the selling of drugs to the youth.

It is the sole focus of the campaigners to protect the youth from becoming caught in the web of addiction.

The campaign hopes to identify hot spots and gather information on drug dealing within the neighbourhood.

The first drive took place in November, whereby the bikers, together with SAPS, visited various establishments in order to gain support and commitment to the cause.

In addition to this, a drug awareness display was put up at the recent Durban Toy Run, which was attended by the community and bikers from all over Durban.
