AFTER a very busy and successful 2015, young budding musical theatre and singing artist Alaska Hilton is off to a busy start again in 2016.

Alaska will be a guest artist in the Family Players Show “Bar Flies”, being performed at the Rhumbelow Theatre in Durban from 12 to 14 February. The show revolves around the girls singing about their trials and tribulations of the bar scenes in days gone by.

Alaska’s repertoire will include some great renditions of “Look At Me’’ from Grease, “That Don’t Impress Me Much” (Shania Twain), “Mean” (Taylor Swift) and “Dear Future Husband” (Meghan Trainor), to name but a few. She will also debut her own song “Summer Love” in the show.

Recently Alaska signed a non-exclusive contract with Lee-Boria Entertainment and Talent Management Agency in New York.

Alaska is currently rehearsing for the Amanzimtoti High School and Music Theatre International schools edition production of Les Miserables, which will run for eight shows in April. Alaska will be performing the female lead of Cossette in the show.

The singer auditioned for a role in “The Sound Of Music” at The Playhouse Theatre Company and hopes to hear if she was successful with her audition within the next few weeks. The show will start at the end of November 2016 at The Playhouse.

To top this, the singer has been spending time in the recording studio recording “Love Ladder and “Summer Love”, both songs her original material. She has penned several more songs that will be produced over the coming months. - Supplied.
