ARMED robbers held up an Amanzimtoti restaurant manager and robbed him of cash on Sunday, December 10.

“It is alleged that one of the managers of an Arbour Crossing restaurant was locking the door and leaving with other staff when they were accosted by three unknown black males and pushed back into the store,” SAPS PRO Captain Charlene van der Spuy said.

She said two suspects had with firearms.

“The suspects locked the door and took the restaurant manager to the office where another manager was cashing up. They instructed her to put the money into a bag,” said Captain Van der Spuy.

Items taken were cash, cell phones and a handbag, the total value is estimated at R15 900.

“The suspects fled on foot, no shots were fired and no injuries sustained,” she said.
