KEEPING in line with the theme of “Plastic Free July 2018”, Clean Surf Project recently held a beach clean-up at Cuttings Beach.

As per previous clean-ups, it is not a nice sight to see nappies, plastic paper and plastic bottles, fishing line, hooks and more, as well as numerous dead chickens scattered all along the beach with local fishermen not paying much attention in keeping their surroundings in clean conditions.

The small group of volunteers managed to collect a reasonable amount of litter, with all bags being collected, thanks to the eThekwini Municipality’s Parks Department. — Supplied.
