ON 30 July, the Toti Mall is hosting a fund-raiser from 8am to 4pm, the aim of which is to raise money for Operation Bobbi Bear.

“We are extremely excited to see the turnout. We will be trying to fill a 100m space with R5 coins, and if we fill the entire space, we would have raised R30 000 for Operation Bobbi Bear. A few companies have already pledged a metre space at R300 and we have sold 20 metres so far,” said event organiser, Joanne Herbst.

According to Herbst, they will also be launching a black bag challenge on the day.
“We kindly ask the public to fill a black bag with their unwanted items, such as household, clothing, linen, curtains and odds-and-ends and bring it to the mall. All the bags will be collected in a skip for Bobbi Bear.

Promising to be a fun family event, a musician will provide entertainment and for children there will be “decorate your own cupcake”, the proceeds of which will go to the charity.

The public is also invited to come and meet the Bobbi Bear team and find out about their work, and marketers are welcome to book a table to sell their products at the flea market, at no cost.
“There are still a few spaces available for marketers. They can bring their own tables or rent them at R20 from the service provider,” said Herbst.

For further information or to book a table contact Joanne on 079 028 6379.
