Final public notice

THE final attempt at conducting a community based planning workshop for Ward 97 is scheduled for May 27 and 28, from 8.30am to 4pm at the Amanzimtoti Library activity room.

The two-day workshop, facilitated by community participation unit, aims to introduce residents to the municipal Integrated Development Plan (IDP). Further to the above, such interaction should include recommendations and prioritisation of community needs for inclusion into the five-year IDP.

“While individual residents are invited to attend, representatives of community based organisations for example sport bodies, religious groupings, environmental groupings, cultural societies, welfare organisations, gender based groups, safety and security sector, organised business, civic groupings, ward committee and others are encouraged to participate in an effort to obtain a holistic indication of community expectations.

“Participation is free,” said Councillor André Beetge.

For inquiries, contact Beetge on 082 718 8137 or email andreb@sky - Supplied.
