FITNESS experts, Devan Dippenaar and Chris Beyleveld will be assisting the Toti community to get fit and at the same time assist charities with funding.

They aim to do this through an intense outdoor training workshop, called Totil’ly Functional on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting 8 February, at 5pm and Saturdays at 7am on the Kingsway High school fields.

“The idea stemmed from my local Virgin Active clients in the 25 to 30-year group, but is open to anyone - from beginners to advance. We are hoping for a group of a minimum of 40 male and female participants and everyone will be able to go at it at their own pace,” said Dippenaar, organiser of the workshop and a trainer at Virgin Active for the past six years.

Dippenaar is also assisting the Kingsway High School first netball team with their conditioning for the season.

The workshop is aimed at providing exercises that can be applied in everyday living and it is likely that a person will see results within four weeks and to really change one’s physique in eight weeks.
“It is my aim to push for results, your health is my biggest concern,” he added.

The sessions are about 45 minutes.

Costs are R50 per session or one can book 10 sessions for R450 and 20 for R800. All proceeds made on Saturdays will go to a charity of choice.
“We want to focus on the smaller local non-profit organisations and hope to partner with other businesses to obtain sponsorship.”

Every month there will be a new charity of choice, chosen by the participants. The charity for February is Bobbi Bear.
