PEOPLE from far and near came to the DSB Grounds in Craigieburn to find out if their names were going to be called as the winner of the Toyota Etios recently.
People were asked to donate R20 and their names were entered into a lucky draw, the winner of which would win a car.
Radio Hindvani was at the announcement and broadcast from the grounds.
Hospice chairman Narend Singh made an appeal to people to support Hospice in this fund-raising initiative and people started phoning into Radio Hindvani to make their pledge.
The grounds were full with families and stall holders were well supported.
Auditor Justin Thiel was at the event to check the draw proceedings and the winner was announced - Rantha Beharilall­ from the North Coast.
At the presentation were Halfway Malanda Widenham Dealer Principal Suresh Sewbaran.
