KHANYA Hospice relies heavily on volunteers at its shops and is grateful to Albrecht Wortman for putting up shelves at its Scottburgh shop.
This makes it easier for the staff to pack and unpack donated bags of stuff, said shop manager Darlene Booth.
The Scottburgh shop has always been a hive of activity and people always seem to find what they are looking for.
Generating income from the Hospice shops helps sustain the free palliative nursing care that Khanya Hospice is doing, ranging in areas from the old airport to Hibberdene. Hospice is not government funded and has to find its own funding.
To contact Hospice, phone 083 597 8985 or email hospice@scottnet.co.za
“We take anything and everything you would like to give away - unwanted gifts, things you have not used in years or are not going to use in the next few years – just contact Hospice. We collect as well,” said Booth. - Supplied.
