J&J celebrates first anniversary

2018-07-18 06:01

FATHER and son duo Johan and JJ de Wet, together with their family, staff, and well-wishers, are celebrating the first anniversary of the de Wet family business, known as J&J Building Maintenance and Plumbing, this month.

What started off as a means to achieve his goal, Johan succeeded in kicking off a new chapter of his life a year ago by launching a building maintenance and renovation company.

This company was then transformed just six months in as de Wet’s son JJ, who had similar goals, joined the fold and added plumbing to list of services offered. Together, the company now engages in major construction, bathroom renovations, PVC ceilings and tiling, among other services. In addition to Johan and his son, J&J’s consists of a staff of five others, who have years of experience in their respective fields.

Johan would like to thank his staff; Lucky, Taryn, Sbu, Mtibisi, and Carlos for all they have contributed towards the company in the past year.

Johan, who moved to Amanzimtoti in 1999 from the Free State, would like to thank the community for their support, saying: “Without the community this won’t last. I would like to thank the community of Toti, Durban and surrounding areas, and our suppliers, for their support.”

Speaking on his vision for the future, Johan stated that he would like to do what he does best for the community, and to create work for others from all backgrounds.
