KWAZULU-NATAL SAPS were busy over the weekend, making sure that those who were wanted for various crimes were brought to book.
A number of operations, which ran from 15 to 18 April, were conducted in the province and led to the arrest of 15 wanted suspects.

These suspects were arrested for murder, possession of drugs, car hijacking, theft of a motor vehicle, business robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. Ecstasy, whoonga capsules, crystal methcathinone and six unlicensed firearms were recovered.

KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni praised the members for their dedication.
“The recovered firearms will be sent for ballistics to establish if they were used in any other crimes in the province. I also appeal to the community to continue giving us information about these criminals who are wanted and who are in possession of illegal firearms,” she said.
