THE Athlone Park neighbourhood watch held their first ever fun day, on June 30 at Athlone Park Primary School, and is hoping to make this an annual event.

The watch would like to extend their sincere thanks to all of their corporate and public sponsors for donations received in cash and kind. The day was enjoyed by all and really brought the community together. MC’s Asanda Mngadi and Sinenhlanhla Mnguni from Kingsway High School really made the day exciting with their amazing performances.

The fundraising team, headed by Karen Maduray (083 785 2703), and the watch welcome any sponsorships and donations. .

The groups of dedicated patrollers are managed by John Jones (072 329 9348), Ashlen Rupnarain (083 307 4017), and Pavin Govender (083 627 0695). Residents that wish to join the patrol team, or those who wish to join the telegram group, are encouraged to contact the neighbourhood watch on any of the given numbers. —Supplied.
