Non-profit calls for board members

2017-07-26 06:03

TURNING Point — Amanzimtoti (TPA) is a registered NGO and is 18A exempt, and invites members of the public to serve as a member on the board of directors.

The organisation’s mission is to provide care and support to victims of trauma and abuse, and to facilitate restoration by empowering individuals, families and the community through transformation interventions.

“To reach our mandate, we require the services of community members who are willing to serve as board directors to provide strategic direction to the organisation on a voluntary basis. Volunteering for non-profits is a process that is richly rewarding for all involved,” said centre manager Loraine Odendaal.

The criteria include:

· middle to senior management experience or someone who is a business entrepreneur;

· experience in a previous or current board director role is an advantage;

· a degree or higher qualification in any discipline;

· a clear criminal and credit record; and

· available to meet at least once per quarter.

Should you be willing and available to serve your community through TPA on a voluntary basis, kindly send your CVs and a certified copy of your ID to totitraumaunit before August 31, 2017.

For further information, contact Loraine Odendaal at 031 903 7777. — Supplied.
