IT is that time of year again when the children from the Louis Botha Children’s Home in Pretoria come down to Amanzimtoti for some fun and excitement.

Every alternate year the home comes down to the South Coast and stay at the Happy Day Flats for a week. This year the vacation will be during the upcoming June holidays. The children’s home is in need of any support and donations from around South Africa and the Durban
Roadhogs Motorcycle Club will be hosting a fund-raiser event at the Road Wizzards Club House on Secker Road, Woodlands on May 26. The event will start at 12 pm and go on until late with only R60 per person as an entry fee which comes with a free cloth badge. The day will be jam-packed with activities including prize giveaways, a ladies burnout challenge with craft and food stalls available on site. Amanzimtoti’s very own Happy Days Holiday Flats has already showed support to the children’s home. Manager at Happy Days Holiday Flats Louise Oosthysen said: “We have offered them discounted accommodation for their stay in our flats.

“This will be the first time most of the children coming will see the sea and community members are asked to stretch out a helping hand in making this experience a memorable one for all the children. “We would like to arrange something special for them as their budget does not allow any activities other than their accommodation and travel expenses,” added Oosthysen.

Any donations, whether it be meal vouchers, donations towards activities or activities themselves, will be greatly appreciated. Contact manager at Happy Days Flats Louise
