AMANZIMTOTI High School thanks Clearwater’s and Eagle Canyon Spur for their sponsorship throughout this year.

“Owner Duane de Klerk has been extremely generous in assisting the community through sponsorship during the year,” Amanzimtoti High School sports marketing manager, Gideon Cordier said.

De Klerk has sponsored the rugby Seven’s Development Team with kits and hamburgers and cool drinks for matches and is hosting a year-end function on December 3 for the team at Spur. He often donates vouchers to our staff and pupils and recently sponsored shirts for the school’s sports department. We are extremely thankful,” Cordier added.

He said pupils are also doing “shadow shift” evenings as fund-raisers for sports tours. “Spur is one of our top sponsors and always invests in our community. It is endearing to see how local businesses plough back into the community. Amanzimtoti High School also holds staff meetings and meals at the Eagle Canyon Spur,” Cordier said. Spur’s involvement in the Rugby Development team has led to the team’s success in making it to the finals in Queensburgh, where they unfortunately lost against Pinetown Boys. “This kind of involvement is of the utmost importance for the pupils and for the school,” he said.
