Series winning trail run

MAD Mud Adventures will be holding the third trail run of the season, which will also be the race to determine the series winner, on April 26.

Athletes who competed in all three races are in the running for the title.

“The race starts at 5.30pm and we are looking forward to another exhilarating race.

The final prize giving will be hosted by Umsinsi Adventures and there are again exciting prices for the winners,” organiser Mark Barber said.

In the second race, Terry Pletinckx become the new male series leader in a time of 18 minutes and 26 seconds, second was Warren Gibson and third Wade Botha.

In the ladies’ section, Sabrina Ward won the race in a time of 22 minutes and 19 seconds. Ward has won both races and is the woman’s series leader, Jodie Momberg was second and Calli Cloete came third.

Dylan Barber broke the U18 course record in a time of 26 minutes and 10 seconds, and Michaela Craword won the ladies U18. For further information,visit the Mad Mud Adventure Races Facebook page
