Stop stirring

2016-02-03 06:00

I WAS fortunate to grow up with sensible country folk. On hot days we’d drop our hoes and walk to the nearest spring for a drink of beautiful, clear water.

The springs had names, Magumede’s or Mamncwabe’s, and so on. As children we were taught by these redoubtable women to drink with care so as not to muddy the water. There is mud at the bottom of springs; the ANC needs a Magumede to teach them not to stir it up!

Thank goodness, the majority of us get on with each other and are too busy to pay much notice to the crass words and behaviour of the few.
