Welfare needs your ‘previously loved’ goods

2017-06-21 06:01

KINGSBURGH Child and Family Welfare are in need of previously loved clothing or household goods.

The organisation runs a charity shop weekdays from 8am to 11.30am from their offices at 2 Hall Road Warner Beach (next to Kingsburgh Library).

“Clothing donated is first selected for our clients’ needs at no cost. The balance of the goods is then displayed in our charity shop for sale at reasonable prices. All are welcome to come and browse. Funds generated from sales are used for our community projects,” chairperson Jenny Smith said.

“Unfortunately, we have not received Lotto funding since 2013 and receive no government funding. We are operating from one month to the next.

“Fortunately, we have great volunteers to keep it all together. Any donations can be dropped off at our office or we can collect,” Smith added.

For further information, contact Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare on 031 916 2274 - 8am to 12pm.
