Witnesses urged to assist

POLICE are searching for witnesses of a motor­ vehicle accident that occurred on 26 April at 7.30am on Old Main Road, Felekisi, Amanzimtoti.

The accident involve a school bus (yellow Mazda Marathon) and a Toyota Avanza (gold).

According to police the school bus carried 14 children between the ages of six and 13.

The injured passengers were transported to Prince Mshiyeni and Isipingo hospitals by KZN and Sisanda Ambulances.

A case of reckless and negligent driving and alleged drunk driving was opened and is being investigated by Amanzimtoti SAPS detectives.

Witnesses and parents and/or guardians of these children are requested to contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Sandile Msomi on 031 913 1328 or 073 705 208 in order for the case to be finalised.
