Comedy festival to leave you laughing

Comedy fans can brace for “laugh-‘til-you-drop” fun with some of South Africa’s foremost comedians at GrandWest’s Roxy Revue Bar this winter.

The month-long comedy festival begins on Wednesday 1 July with Loyiso Gola’s one-man show, Loyiso Gola Live, which runs until Saturday 4 July.

Next in line is Dave Levinsohn in LAUG# @ ME between Wednesday 8 and Saturday 11 July with Kagiso ‘KG’ Mokgadi as the opening act.

Conrad Koch and Chester Missing perform in Gagging Order from Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 July. Opening for them will be cabaret star, Ghia Human. The second last week of the comedy festival features Kagiso Lediga in A Wordy Purpose. Comedienne, Mel Jones does the honours of opening for him from Wednesday 22 to Saturday 25 July.

The festival culminates with Martin Evans in War Donkey from Wednesday 29 July to Saturday 1 August 2015. Opening for him is Dalin Oliver, who presents the Comedy Sundowner events at GrandWest’s Hanover Street on the first Sunday of every month.


All shows start at 20:30. Tickets cost R90 per person per show and are available at Computicket.
