By the day she is giving skollies a hard time and by nightfall, she pounds the road in a quest to attain greater glory.

Ladies and gentlemen I introduce to you Constable Ivy Nokuthula Sogiba of Harare SAPS.

With a perfect record of three gold medals, one silver medal and two trophies, Constable Sogiba is no ordinary policewoman.

In cross country races, opponents are used to seeing her give them a clean pair of heels.

When names of winners and top finishers are pasted on boards on race days, you are bound to find Sogiba’s name.

Just recently she was the first woman to cross the finish line at 27 For Freedom race in 40 minutes.

Harare SAPS spokewoman Constable Nosiphiwo Mntengwana was full of praises for the petite runner. “She is setting a good example for all of us and actually motivates us to starting living healthy by exercising,” she said. Mntengwane vowed to work hard on shaping her body before the festive season craze. “It’s better to start now and Sogiba has motivated us to fight the fat the hlasela way,” she said, bursting at the seams with laughter
