Cops nab 150 suspects in Nyanga weekend raids

Police in the Nyanga Policing Precinct are continuing with their fight to rid the streets of criminals, they say.

This is after over 150 people were arrested in the past week during various operations.

According to SAPS 72 suspects were arrested for dealing in and being in possession of drugs, 15 for assault with grievous bodily harm, seven for dealing in liquor and another four for being in possession of illegal firearm.

“Another six suspects were apprehended for being in possession of stolen property, three for crimes against women and children, four housebreaking and theft, malicious damage to property, trespassing, arson and murder,” said spokesperson Captain Ntomboxo Sitshitshi
