SA fitness equipment manufacturer has stepped up a division with the launch of a full range of locally made functional fitness and boxing equipment.

Comedian Siv Ngesi hosted a boxing showcase on Thursday 22 October to mark the occasion, which included an exhibition bout between two of the country’s most exciting talents, Mabuti “Old Bones” Magwaca and Sinethemba “Last Born” Bam.

Damascus began as a furniture upholsterer for Virgin Active health clubs, but with the support of the group’s supplier developer programme, it is now a top quality fitness equipment manufacturer with a national footprint. The new range includes boxing as well as functional training equipment, such as core bags, gladiator bags, plyo boxes, battle ropes, fitness and yoga mats.

Sherwin Enoch MD of Damascus said, “The new range has been developed in collaboration with fitness and conditioning experts, creating a comprehensive offering of functional fitness essentials.”

Damascus is the official equipment sponsor of Future Champs, a programme that positively changes the lives of young South Africans through boxing.
