Ikapa Live brings you the Ikasi Experience, a township market celebrating local culture and diversity.

Look forward to live entertainment and performances, with arts and culture vendor displays for all to enjoy.

Ikasi Experience will be open from 12 am till 8pm on Saturday, 25th April at Lookout Hill, Khayelitsha.

This event aims to empower the community by creating a platform for local businesses to grow and engage with potential consumers.

It also aims to encourage an inter-cultural environment, conversely extending urban boundaries and interactively enhancing township perception on economic activity.

Expect an awesome day filled with local vendors from the township rendering and selling their services varying from food, beverage, artwork and lots more.

With the likes of DJ Loyd, SirVincent, Uno July, EJay, Ruffest and many more exciting acts including a live talent search- this cultural experience will be a great day out for the family.

Meanwhile the Black Market Co has announced it will host “ Taste the Culture 2015” at the same venue on May 2.

According to Siya Ntsizi the “Taste the Culture” is a celebration of the townships’ and its peoples’ rich history and diverse cultures through music, edification and entertainment.

The music selection ranges from live performances by leading South African musicians, marimba melodies, deep soulful house music and soothing jazz arrangements for a complete experience.

“Come taste your way through our selected range of wines, beers and spirits over two nights at Khayelitsha’s premier beverage and music festival,”he said
