He struts the room with confidence, his passion fills the room.

A hardcore salesman, as he does his thing, you can bet he can sell ice cubes to an Eskimo.

Innocent Ntanjana is his name, and he is the founder of Umthombo Foundation, an organisation hellbent on giving black middle class their dignity.

“This foundation seeks to help black people to be in control of their financial lives,” Ntanjana said.

The foundation is largely formed by people working in the white collar industry.

When City Vision caught up with them at the Monwabisi Beach Chalets recently, they had just inducted a board of trustees, whose mandate was to steer the organisation to greater heights.

The board consists of Innocent Ntanjana, Zoleka Molusi, Sizwe Kopo, Nellie Botwa, Zozo Somtsewu, Zolani Skosana and Zimasa Ngomane.

Ntanjana said the foundation will focus on “building financial muscle” for its members through worskhops and seminars
