Ms Eve’s music will make you dance

2015-08-27 06:01

“Give me music and I will make you dance.”

These words emanate from the lips of Ms Eve, a sensational house deejay, who is set to release her anxiously awaited debut single ‘Elixesha Lelakho’ on Friday.

This is a day that the women of this country confirmed their strength and proved that the ‘man’s world claim to be untrue. To this day, women continue to maintain their unique place in society with the remarkable things that they do.

When growing up, even on the playground, little boys and girls already have different games they play that bear un-derlying gender roles that they are expected to play in society.

Boys are tough and girls are not, right? Boys make the best deejays and girls are better off dancing right? Wrong both times.

If you don’t believe this fact, then you clearly haven’t heard Ms Eve drop her hypnotic sounds. Introducing Cape Town’s pride, your next favourite deejay, Ms Eve will have you moving your feet in ways you never thought you never could. The best part you will not even notice the fully packed room once the mood is set. That’s what we call the Ms Eve trance.

23 year old Iviwe Mbobosi, affectionately known as Ms Eve, was born and bred in the small town of Paarl. This area is famous for the Paarl Rock, which is known for its smooth and flawless appearance, just like the beats Iviwe drops. This feisty lady discovered her passion and love for spinning the decks at the age of 16.

Combine genuine talent, elegance and class then you have the perfect mix(ture) for the next big thing in the House music scene.

Not one to be phased by what is known as a male dominated industry, Iviwe admits that she had ex-pected her journey not to be an easy one. However do not be fooled by her petite frame.

Without even listening to her club circuit tunes, you known that Ms Eve has the credentials to compete with any of the boys club. Iviwe has graced the stage along household legendary house maestros DJ Black Coffee, DJ Fresh and Vinny Da Vinci just to name a few.

Ms Eve has graced stages of Cape Town’s biggest Township Festival Ikasi Experience by Ikapa Live and Ipotsoyi in association with Channel O by Groove Afrika.

Ms Eve is fast becoming a well-known name in the House music space.

Ms Eve has recently added to her touch of mixes on GoodHope FM and Bush Radio, she drops a series of her Mon-day Blues mixtape every second Monday of each month.

Remember the name : Ms Eve because it is one that will linger in the mouths of House fans for years to come
