The disabled invited to an open day

2015-04-30 13:43

The Institute for the Promotion of Disabled Manpower (IPDM) in collaboration with Ikamva Labantu invites all disabled members of the community especially youth with disabilities to an Open Day on at 9am April 30 at Ikamva Labantu.

IPDM has a Disability Advice Desk (DAD) project running in five communities in Cape Town.

The latest expansion has been to Khayelitsha and involves a collaborative partnership with Ikamva Labantu. Ikamva Labantu has a beautiful ECD centre and part of this is a new Family Centre department.

The core of this centre is to provide a helpdesk which could refer people to appropriate services to address immediate needs and problems.

Finding employment for people with disabilities had been one of the areas that they had been involved in so to tie in with this, IPDM will be launching a new DAD at Ikamva Labantu at this open day.

If you are disabled please bring your cv’s, copies of ID’s, matric certificates, proof of disability etc so that you can be registered on our database and possibly be linked directly to opportunities when they are available
