One of the world’s premiere basketball teams, The Harlem Globetrotters, will unleash their special blend of athleticism and theatre at GrandWest’s Grand Arena on 1 and 2 July, during their first tour of South Africa in almost two decades.

Set to put on their most outrageous exhibition yet, The Harlem Globetrotters will enthrall Cape Town audiences with an awe-inspiring showcase of the basketball skills that have placed them in the record books since their inception in 1926.

Their family-styled performances will be jam-packed with incredible upside-down shots, trick shots and passes, as well as unbelievable slam dunks and three pointers hurled from the opposite side of the court.

“We are excited to be part of bringing The Harlem Globetrotters to Cape Town this winter, and to give local audiences a chance to experience their awe-inspiring skills and showmanship first hand,” says Elouise Matthys of GrandWest.

The Harlem Globetrotters is the world’s premiere basketball exhibition team.

Founded in 1926 as the Savoy Big Five, the Harlem Globetrotters have since risen in fame and legacy with their sensational skills and exuberance both on court and off.

The squad is made up of talented male and female athletes who continue to smash their way into the record books while putting on entertaining shows that the entire family can enjoy.

Their passion for the sport is matched only by their heart as they continue to be goodwill ambassadors worldwide.

Tickets to The Harlem Globetrotters events at GrandWest are available at Computicket, but you might be lucky and win tickets.
