A lack of leadership

2016-12-08 06:01

Leadership is strongly needed in South Africa and we need it not just politically, economically and socially, but for our families.

Our families need it more as this is the nucleus of a society.

When a person cannot listen to rules set down by parents, ts clear that person cannot be a law abiding citizen.

Leaders should lead by example. If I can not be a good leader to my daughter, how can I be a good leader to the society.

I believe it all begins with the immediate family.

Leadership needs to be strengthened at all levels; from street, ward, sub-council, regional, provincial and national committees.

We are experiencing foreign tendencies which are crippling our society.

Leaders are the victimizers of society. They are the perpetrators of the worse kind of transgressions.

Current leaders lack integrity, and we cannot hold them to their word.

Genuine leadership is about selflessness but the current crop is the antithesis of that attribute.

It is more about ‘I’. What will I get? How will ‘I” benefit. People contest for positions only for personal gains.

Its 16 days of Activism but the current leadership is not on the ground.

Society is being disrupted and chaos rules, but the leadership is nowhere to be found.

We have lost hope. Families are rent asunder. Gangsterism rules our streets.

Not long ago, on 1st of December, it was World Aids Day. Still leaders will be nowhere to be found.

Yet South Africa is the country with the most infected people.

Some are still dying painful and isolated deaths, all due to stigmatization.
