The Zangs Women Empowerment Program (Zwep) held a first anniversary event in the Eaglevlei Wine Estate in Stellenbosch last weekend.

Zwep was formed in 2017 by Nomazangwa Cakathiso-Ngetu after she experinced marital problems as a a coping mechanism.

“We are driven by a single goal, to help each other as women, open each other’s eyes, share our stories, teaching each other on how to deal with the challenges that we face lives,” said Nomazangwa.

She said Zwep does not only focus on the problems they face but also on building each other to become better wives, mothers, daughters, friends, employees and business women.

“As Zwep we believe that everything starts with us . A happy woman, a healthy relationship, happy family and a warm loving home,” she added.

Zwep also focuses on giving back by doing charity work around the community.

They have recently adopted two girls from less fortunate families, and will groom to be strong young women also making sure that their monthly feminine supplies and their educational needs for the year are taken care off.

As this is their first phase and they we will choose new young girls to groom annually and the more they receive sponsors, more girls will benefit

Zwep has 22 members with threedirectors: Nomazangwa Cakathiso Ngetu (founder), Asanda Rulashe and Mbasa Lime Nonoya.
