Eleven Attackers FC suffered another defeat by Arsenal FC. Arsenal won the game by a single goal to nil during the league game played at Mfuleni Sport Complex on Saturday 27 July.

It was a balanced game but Arsenal had the edge on the second half when Attackers central defender made a mistake which cost the team.

Both teams were playing in the u.12 in the Greater Mfuleni League Association.

Attackers coach Solly Ntwanambi said he is content with the performance of his boys even though they were defeated.

“We had a very great game. My boys kept the position well. “But, I think the problem was at my central defence because I fielded him while he had an injury. I had no other player that could fill his position,” he said. He commended the match officials for doing a great job. “I don’t complain. It was a fair game. Their goal was superb,” said Ntwanambi.

Arsenal coach Sakhekile Javu said it was a tough game and applauded his boys for showing great character on the field.

“We knew that it was not going to be an easy game. Attackers is one of the strongest teams. And by beating them it also boosts the confidence of my boys,” he said.

He added that their aim is to take one game at a time. “I told them before the game to relax and play their normal football and they must not worry about our opponents,” said Javu.

Arsenal is currently second on the logwith 19 points after nine games with six wins, a draw and two losses, while Attackers is one ninth position with five wins and four losses.
