With God everything is possible ...

Those are the words of the upcoming Site B gospel artist Lonwabo Klaas.

The 29-year-old wishes to change the hearts of many people for the betterment of the nation and singing gospel is the only way for him to convey his message to the people.

Klaas released his last album Akwaba Singalunga in October last year. “My album is about me. It’s about the challenges and experiences that I’ve faced through my entire life,” said Klaas.

He described himself as a Christian and his 10 track album as traditional gospel. “I started singing at Sunday school. Then in 2004, I joined the group called Impefumlelo Yezulu in Qoboqobo,” he said.

In 2008 Klaas moved to Cape Town where he joined the Salvation Church of Revival of Faith choir in Makhaza.

Since then, he said he never looked back. Like every young artist, he promotes his album by performing at taxi ranks, malls and train stations. Klaas described Veliswa Sikeyi as his role model.

“I once shared the stage with Veliswa while she was performing at my church last month. And I wish I can make a collaboration with her,” he said adding that he used to emulate her music while she was singing for the Lord Comforters.

Klaas said he also performs at funerals, weddings, graduation parties and anniversaries. His album is selling at R50. Anyone who wants to buy his album or book him can call 078 453 2435.
