As elections loom, politicians will visit homes

2018-04-05 06:02

South Africa emerges from a past of questionable governance and debates on corruption and misappropriation of the public purse to suit the elite few.

Although service delivery protests take centre stage, government seems to focus on the aftermath.

With the up-coming elections, we will definitely see politicians arriving at our doorsteps for the first time without bodyguards.

After the elections, are we going to see accountable leadership? Are we going to see an era of change or a continuous path of looters? The new broom is busy cleaning up, but I think it will take more than morning walks and a cabinet reshuffle for a new dawn to break.
