The Raymond Ackerman Academy of Entrepreneurial Development (RAA), based at the University of Cape Town (UCT) Graduate School of Business in Greenpoint, is calling on interested individuals to apply for enrolment.

The RAA supports the development of entrepreneurial mindsets through a 6 month university accredited course, aimed at youth between the ages of 18-30 with limited access to pursuing tertiary education.

More than 600 young people have graduated from the programme and have gone ahead to advance their careers or start growing business from the ground up.

Rashieda Panday, an alumni, attributes her success to having had the guidance and support of the RAA.

The young entrepreneur, who is currently part of the RAA business incubator programme, joined the RAA with absolute intention to develop a business whose sole purpose would be to support the disabled, as her mother is a courageous woman living with disability.

Rashieda, who pursued a career in the telecoms industry after her time at the RAA, later returned to sharpen her entrepreneurial pencil and start her business, MindShift, which services members of the disabled community.

“I am incredibly privileged to be a part of an organisation that works tirelessly to see my business and I thrive, the RAA has taught me so much about being in business, it has also equipped with the tools I need to stay in business.” says Rashieda.

The RAA is in the process of recruiting and we encourage youth who want to develop personally, learn business skills and develop an entrepreneurial mindset to apply. Shape your life and apply now! For more information call 021 406 1422 visit www.ackermanacademy.co.za and all our social
