Lwandle police detectives are working around the clock trying to track down four men involved in a business robbery in Pholile informal settlement last week.

The police say the men entered Mr T Shop brandishing firearms around 21:15 on Monday 6 May.

Sergeant Mthokozisi Gama, spokesperson for Lwandle police, said the suspects pointed firearms at everyone in the store, demanding they hand over all money and cellphones. “The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money, cartons of cigarettes, wristwatches and cellphones before fleeing the scene,” Gama related, adding that no shots were fired in the incident.

A case of business robbery has been opened by Lwandle police.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who saw the suspects to call the investigating officer, Detective Constable Wynand Carelse, on 021 845 2060.

Gama said the police will offer a reward to anyone who provides positive information that leads to the arrest of the suspects involved.
