Busy Bees are chasing the log leaders in Super League C of the club competition of Western Province Rugby Union and hope to finish in the top three of the competition.

Busy Bees are lying fourth on the log with 38 points and have two games in hand.

Log leaders Macassar(52 points) and second placed Goodwood (46), have played 12 games.

With only two games left on Saturday 15 September and Saturday 22 September, Busy Bees will have to play catch-up to finish in the top three.

Langa(36) is hot on their heels but have played one game more.

On Saturday, Busy Bees hosts Young Stars in Langa stadium, aka the “House of Pain”, as teams find it difficult to win any matches in there.

Langa is travelling to Stellenbosch for their encounter against Scottsdene Central and the visitors will try to close the gap between them and Busy Bees.

Blue Jets with 22 points from 11 matches welcomes Macassar and they will have a difficult task stopping them from adding more points to the log.

Blue Jets have a point difference of -5 and the tally will probably increase if Macassar wins.

Lagunya starts their campaign in the Promotion Competition against Raithby-Universals after they had a bye the past weekend.

Nine teams- the three top teams in City League, Northerns League and Southern League- are embroiled in a Top Nine tussle to qualify for the Super League C next year.

Masiphumelele in Ocean View, who were the log leaders in the City League, came out all guns blazing against Van der Stel-Evergreens by beating them 40-20 at home.

If you take Masiphumelele’s performance this year in consideration, they will be the team to beat in qualifying for Super League C in 2019.

The Top Nine representatives of each of the above-mentioned leagues play against teams in their leagues, as well as against the others.

This means that each new team brings new challenges and changes to their respective game plans. Loyal spectators are then in for a treat and the players will learn lessons from each encounter.

Each team in the Top Nine each team will have to rock up and be switched on every Saturday till the end of the competition.

Teams only play once against each other and they lose, there is no come back or bounce back in the next encounter.

Fixtures for Saturday are: Busy Bees vs Young Stars; Blue Jets vs Macassar; Scottsdene Central vs Langa (Super League C) and Lagunya vs Raithby-Universals.
