Choral competition calling for male voices to enter

The Cape Town Male Voice Choir (CTMVC) is calling on composers to get their creative juices flowing by entering its Choral Composition Competition.

Composers stand a chance of winning cash prizes for six choral works for male voice choirs. Two awards of R10 000 each will be made for original works and four awards of R5 000 each for the arrangement of four South African songs.

Details of the competition, including guidelines for the compositions, candidate eligibility, the rights of each party, judging procedures and liability, are included with the entry forms which will be provided on request.

All entries must be written for TTBB voices, suitable for singing by an adult male voice choir.V Interested composers and arrangers must submit their entry to the Cape Town Male Voice Choir (CTMVC) by Monday 31 October. Visit for more information or email for rules and entry forms.
