City call centre’s hours lesser

During the festive season, the City of Cape Town’s call centre operating hours will be reduced for accounts and general enquiries

The City’s call centre will be operational from 07:00 to 17:30 from Saturday 15 December to Sunday 6 January.

Water-related enquiries will be dealt with as per normal with a dedicated 24-hour line.

The Electricity Department’s Technical Operations Centre as well as the Transport Information Centre will continue to be operational during this period for all electricity and transport-related enquiries.

Residents can still register service requests for water-related enquiries via WhatsApp on 063 407 3699, email to water@capetown.gov.za or SMS to 31373.

For electricity-related enquiries, send an SMS to 31220.

The public can also visit our website: www.capetown.gov.za to log a service request, or for account-related and general enquiries. For account-related queries an email can be sent to accounts@capetown.gov.za.

The Public Emergency Communication Centre will not be affected and will continue to operate as usual on a 24-hour basis.
