City Vision, a member of WP Media, a division of Media24 in the Cape Peninsula, will be adding another edition to its weekly bouquet.

The new edition, City Vision Lwandle/Nomzamo will be launched on November 2. With 15 000 copies distributed in the new areas, the total weekly print order of City Vision will amount to 115 087.

“City Vision is 23 years old and it is fantastic news that such a mature newspaper is still growing strong. This newspaper was pioneered by a veteran in the craft of journalism, the late Enoch Guwa, and it has stood the test of time,” says City Vision editor, Vukile Sonandzi.

The new edition will contain hyper-local content and will be distributed on Thursdays.

“Our expansion will give locals a chance to have their stories told in a fair and fearless manner,” said Sonandzi.

Sonandzi added City Vision was immensely popular in areas such as Langa, Gugulethu, Nyanga and Khayelitsha. He expressed the hope that readers of the new edition will embrace the City Vision brand and make the newspaper their own.

“We promise to bring you a newspaper worth reading, a newspaper that talks about you and the people you know.

“We want you to engage with us, send in your news tips and let us know about issues that are affecting you on a daily basis,” he told readers.
