American funnyman Chris Tucker will be at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on Wednesday 7 November. Tucker needs no introduction to South African fans. He has been a regular in movies since he appeared in the 1995 cult classic Friday alongside Ice Cube. He appeared in Money Talks with Charlie Sheen and shortly after appeared in the highly successful The Fifth Element. In 2006 he starred in Rush Hour 3, becoming the highest paid actor in Hollywood. In 2013 he co-starred in Silver Linings Playbook with Robert de Niro, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. Two years later he did his first stand-up film, Chris Tucker Live, which was released on Netflix. Chris Tucker has starred in films that have collectively grossed over one billion dollars in box office sales worldwide. “Chris Tucker is on the road performing his very successful comedy tour in America and other international locations, before he comes out to Cape Town,” says Elouise Matthys, the PR and promotions manager at GrandWest. “His show has been receiving rave reviews from all over the world.
