Popular dance music producer and all round entertainer DJ Miza is back with another single, a sure dance floor filler. Vumani is the name of the track, and it features Sbu Nkomo and super slick producer Sun-EL Sithole.

City Vision caught up with this beatmaker, actor, voice over artist and presenter at Radio Zibonele in Khayelitsha.

He is currently promoting this latest single from his album, titled Twelve.

Sun El is most popular for his beautiful rendition of Bucie’s Get Over It.

Accroding Miza, his latest offering is a departure from his well known style.

“It is more afro-centric than my other single and I guess you can attribute this to the influence of Sun El. Its a very soulful tune about love.

Its about a man declaring his love to a woman but it will take you to the dance floor as it is, after all, a dance song,” said Miza.

This is the fourth single form his album and says that there will be more singles as there are a few more hot tracks from his latest album.

“Often when you release an album the first single and the second are popular and the album is done you feel the pressure to release another one.

Only a real music lover wanna go the extra mile and listen as well as constantly play all or most of the songs in that album.

We believe that this album has far more to offer than just two or three singles,” he said.

Miza broke through in the music industry with his notorious debut single called Nkamodira in 2009 but few people know that he has been a voice over artist and is the voice behind Catnap one of the characters on Cool Catz, a childrens show on etv.

He will also be best remembered by television audiences for his role as the villain Spyker in the SABC2 police drama series Streets of Mangaung.

Other television credits include Erfsondes, Generations, eKasi: Our Stories, Binnelanders, the animated children’s series Cool Cats and the Mzansi Magic television movie Tooth & Nails.

He was also a presenter on Vukuzenzele, Bush Raiders and the SABC3 teen show Real Peeps.

Miza got a taste of the music industry in 2008 when he produced house DJ Nutty Nys’s album Vintage Love.

He also produced a hip-hop show called Battle Stations for Yo-TV on SABC1.

He will also be making a cameo appearance on Etv’s Ashes to Ashes series playing himself.

His album Twelve is available at all music stores and iTune.
