Just when you thought that we were going to disappear for a short while and- like the rest of the human race- join the festivities. Here we come.

I just want to say thank you for taking time to read whatever I dished out in the course of the year.

I hope I did not offend or trample on anyone’s toe because I want to enjoy my summer without guilt.

I know, though, that I tried to be as positive as you could ever get, odd outbursts notwithstanding.

This week is not about writing something to catch your imagination, but a few lines to wrap up the year.

First, let me take this opportunity to wish everyone all the best this festive season. I say, go out there and enjoy yourself.

Don’t indulge too much on the cold ones, as these can cause serious damage to your sense of straight thinking. To those taking doing drugs, Eish! I don’t know what to say other than to say stop it.

Treat your neighbours and everyone else as you would have them treat you, so that we keep the love flowing through.

Saturday is Reconciliation Day and I urge everyone to come out and support our race at NY49. This year the race promises to be big and people are expected to flood the streets of Gugs.

I know many of you sitting out there and thinking that you can’t do it, I say try it even if you are part of those who walk the distance. I promise you the sense of fulfilment after you finish the race lingers longer. Gugs is turning 60 next year and its either you participate or you spectate. Watch this space.
