The Employers’ Organisation for Hairdressing, Cosmetology and Beauty, in association with the National Bargaining Council and the Western Province Barbers’ Association, will host an information-sharing workshop on Wednesday 8 August.The session will take place at Urban Cuts, Strandfontein.

The workshop will discuss health and safety, council registration and the collective agreement.

“We do not want to see barber shops being forced to close because they are not compliant,” says Warren Theunis, Western Province Barbers’ Association chairperson (“Barber safety in the spotlight,” City Vision, 2 August).
