Police have made a breakthrough regarding a business robbery which was committed on the early hours of the New Year’s Eve in Gugulethu Mall.

Various provincial units, border police and Nyanga Cluster Teams acted on a tip-off and arrested the suspects. She said that in two addresses police recovered eight cell phones still with Gugulethu Mall shop tags and stickers, two boxes of wine with glasses still in boxes and small bags of undisclosed amount of coins.

“The four men aged between 16 and 31 and a 52 year old woman appeared in Athlone Magistrate Court on charges of armed robbery and hijacking,” she said.
