Local model Vincent Ntunja, from Gugulethu, has been selected for a lead role in a worldwide television commercial with one of the world’s biggest directors.

Vincent Ntunja a brand ambassador for among others, the Amy Biehl Foundation, African Grassroot Hoops, Deep Settle Movement and Strato Couture is a former national basketball player, CPUT Alumni, radio presenter, philanthropist and events MC.

He has been doing modelling for the past 9 years and is represented by Bree Street based Pulse Modelling Agency.

“Vincent is our star, we are very proud of him and his accolades.

He has done photoshoots with renowned photographers and appeared in many magazines and television commercials locally and internationally, but this one is the biggest of them all, the details of which we are not permitted to divulge as of yet,” says Clé Latouf owner of Pulse Models.

“I’ve travelled to USA, Russia, China, South Korea, Morocco, Mozambique through basketball while I was still playing for my country, but now it’s different, this is like a dream come through.

I’ve always known when I started modelling that my talents will take me out of my comfort zone.

Growing up in the township is very hard, it was made even harder by the fact that I lost my father when I was 12 years old, with no guidance and mentorship.

I could also easily have been another statistic in gang related activities, crime, fraud and corruption, but I chose a different path because I always wanted to be a positive role model to the kids of South Africa, Africa itself and the world over.

I’m very grateful and thankful to my mother who single-handedly made me the man that I am” he remarked.

The lanky, tall, dark and handsome model will be working with a Hollywood director, contents of the television commercial remains confidential until it is finally released, however the resident is expected to fly to Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Prague in the Czech Republic on 19th April and return 4th May 2016 respectively.
