Tireless efforts by detectives to deal with suspects who commit armed robbery and smash and grabs in the Nyanga precinct yielded positive results.

On Wednesday , detectives attached to the Serious and Violent Crimes Unit conducted an operation by following up on leads on suspects who have been terrorising motorists travelling on routes into and out of Nyanga. Four suspects were arrested while they were sitting in a shack in Zwelitsha, where police recovered presumably stolen cell phones and several batteries, a flat screen, a camera and a variety of other items.

When asked about their ownership of these items, the suspects could not explain where they had obtained the property.
